‘Bridge Of Spies,’ BC bOp!, and Joe Walsh This Weekend In Arts

Asinine Presents: An Improv Cafe

(Sunday, 7 P.M.)

Join Asinine Sketch and Improv Comedy in Cushing 001 this Sunday evening for the troupe’s first Improv Cafe of the semester. While complimentary coffee will not be served at event, admission to the show is free.

Bands of the Beanpot

(Sunday, 3 P.M.)

The Boston College University Wind Ensemble will perform alongside ensembles from Harvard, Northeastern University, and Boston University. The performance will be held at the Sanders Theatre in Harvard Square.

BC bOp! Live

(Friday, 8 P.M.)

BC’s instrumental and vocal jazz ensemble will be performing its first concert of the year this Friday. It will be playing classical jazz hits as well as some more modern covers live in the Vanderslice Cabaret Room.

‘Bridge of Spies’

(Opens Friday)

In 1964, James Donovan, an insurance attorney from Brooklyn, is sent by the CIA to Berlin to negotiate a trade with the USSR to get back an American spy. The film stars Tom Hanks, was written by the Coen Brothers, and was directed by Steven Spielberg.

‘Crimson Peak’

(Opens Friday)

Young author Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) quickly falls in love with and marries Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston). Sir Sharpe moves Edith into his gothic and frightening mansion which holds all manner of frightful secrets.

Joe Walsh

(Saturday, 7:30 P.M.)

Lead vocalist Joe Walsh from the legendary rock band The Eagles will be performing at the Orpheum Theatre this Saturday. Tickets for the show can be purchased at orpheum.boxofficesales.com leading up to the event.

‘Goosebumps’

(Opens Friday)

Zach Cooper moves to into a new home next to a creepy and mysterious neighbor. After investigating his neighbor’s home, Zach finds manuscripts to all of R. L. Stine’s Goosebumps, but he might regret opening them. These aren’t any normal books.

Leon Bridges

(Sunday 7:30 P.M.)

American gospel and soul singer Leon Bridges will be playing at the Royale Boston this Sunday night. Tickets for the event can be purchased at royaleboston.com.
