Standing on the field in Tallahassee, taking pictures in the pouring rain, I spent a lot of time looking around the stadium. Surrounded by the deafening sound of the Tomahawk Chop chant and die-hard football fans, it didn’t make sense that I was among them. I know very little about sports, yet all year, I’ve stood on the sidelines and in the penalty box. These people accepted me into this crazy, wonderful world and I could not be more grateful.

I’ve been blissfully ignorant of the rules in most of the games and maybe that’s helped my photography or maybe it’s hurt. I will never know, but I’ve had the greatest time work my way through.
