Allyson Moore’s single in game one and Tatiana Cortez’s home run in game two all but secured both games of the Eagles’ doubleheader against Georgia Tech on Saturday. The pitching did the rest.
Brittany Pickett tossed the first 14 innings of North Carolina’s weekend series against the Eagles. All but one of those were scoreless. Pickett’s dominance only continued on Saturday, and UNC completed the sweep.
Maryssa Becker held BC hitless for close to five innings on Friday. Once the Eagles finally got going offensively, they didn’t have enough in the tank to come back from their fourth-inning collapse.
With one game snowed out on Saturday, the Eagles took advantage of the games they did play—beating Syracuse with walk-offs twice on Sunday afternoon.
