LTE: BC Should Look For Chebator’s Patience In Successor

I read that Dean of Students Paul Chebator will be retiring at the end of the academic year. I hope that the University will give him a proper send off.

I had a number of interactions with Dean Chebator during my years as an undergraduate, and despite our initial misunderstandings of one another, I found him to be thoughtful, compassionate, and understanding.

But perhaps most importantly, his willingness to be patient, his willingness to change course when the situation called for it, and his willingness to understand that sometimes there is more to a situation than what initially meets the eye, those are traits that I hope Boston College looks for in his successor.
