Meehan Goes National

You can’t score 20 goals in 23 games without impressing a few people along the way. Following her dominant sophomore campaign, which broke Boston College’s single-season scoring record, BC women’s soccer’s McKenzie Meehan has been invited to attend the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team training camp in Sunrise, Fla.

The camp will take place from Dec. 14 to 21 and is the final prep before the 2014 Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Women’s U-20 Championship in January—the qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Upon completion of the camp, head coach Michelle French will announce a 20-player roster for the tournament.

Meehan has past experience with the U.S. Under-20 National Team, having played with the squad in Spain this past March.
