Al Skinner, the head coach of the Boston College men’s basketball team, is interviewing with St. John’s University for the Red Storm’s vacant head coaching position within the hour, according to Chris Cameron, associate athletic director for media relations.
The extent of both St. John’s and Skinner’s interest is unknown, Cameron said.
Rumors surfaced after Georgia Tech head coach Paul Hewitt turned down St. John’s offer yesterday. Cameron confirmed that Skinner will interview with St. John’s at 2 p.m. today, but that the Red Storm are also looking into more options than Skinner.
