Boston College has canceled classes Tuesday due to the severe weather impact of Winter Storm Stella.
A winter storm warning will be in effect in Massachusetts from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Boston will see snow accumulations from 10 to 16 inches in the 12 hour period. Heavy snow of 2 to 4 inches per hour is predicted as well as heavy gusts of winds up to 40 to 50 miles per hour.
The winter storm warning stretches across much of the Northeast, including Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. A blizzard warning is in effect for parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
