After Wednesday Deadline, Two Teams Officially in UGBC Race

There will be two teams in this year’s race for Undergraduate Government of Boston College president and vice president. They are Taraun Frontis, CSOM ’19, and Aneeb Sheikh, MCAS ’20; and Reed Piercey, MCAS ’19, and Ignacio Fletcher, MCAS ’20.

Teams were required to declare their intent to run, and collect 250 signatures from the student body on Wednesday, Jan. 31. On Monday evening, the teams will participate in a campaign kickoff event in the Vanderslice Cabaret Room, and campus-wide campaigning will officially begin following this event. Debates between the teams will be on Tuesday and Sunday. Voting will start on Feb. 15.
