A female student reported to the Boston College Police Department that a man sexually assaulted her as she was walking off-campus early Friday morning, according to a BCPD community awareness bulletin.
The bulletin said the student was near 1432 Beacon St. in Brookline—close to Coolidge Corner—when she was “touched inappropriately.”
The unnamed BC student described the suspect as a 5-foot-8 male who wore a hoodie.
The BCPD bulletin reminded community members to call BCPD or 9-1-1 if they see anyone acting suspiciously on campus or in the area and to take precautions when traveling at night.
“As a reminder, if you are out after dark, try to travel in groups, use only well-lit routes or designated pathways, and do not allow yourself to be distracted by phone calls or by using ear buds,” the bulletin reads.
The Brookline Police Department is currently investigating the alleged sexual assault. The bulletin urged anyone with any information pertaining to the investigation to call the Brookline Police Department or BCPD.
