Mixed-use developer WS Development announced the first 14 businesses to open in 2024 as a part of The Street Chestnut Hill’s 27 Boylston renovation via a press release on Monday.
“We can’t wait for the community to experience all of the new offerings in addition to the impeccably designed building layout, and look forward to celebrating this property milestone in 2024,” WS Development Director of Asset Strategy and Experience Alana Stein said in a statement.
The 14 businesses include a variety of brands, including the sustainable fashion brand Reformation, the workout brand [solidcore], and the café Pink Carrot. The project will include three levels and a total of 90,000 square feet for shopping, dining, and more, according to the press release.
“This mix of fourteen brands is really fun and was thoughtfully planned by our team; incredible retail brands, local shops, and a bigger space for New England OBGYN Associates is something we’re really proud of,” Stein said.
According to the press release, 27 Boylston is the newest building on The Street, a shopping complex located in Chestnut Hill. The Street won Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston” award in 2022 for Best Shopping Complex: West.
“Both a leader in national retail trends and a cornerstone within the Chestnut Hill community, The Street enchants its visitors with a collection of over 40 unrivaled brands, as well as lively programming by way of art, music, fitness, and kid-friendly fun,” the press release says.
WS Studio Senior Design Director Jared Ramsdell and Senior Designer Morella Garofalo designed the project, with architecture firm Sasaki acting as the architect of record. The design will include an elevated walkway, enlarged windows, and a new property sign, according to the press release.
“27 Boylston will embrace and highlight some of the original features of the existing building to pay homage to its history and create an interesting and fresh experience for guests,” the press release says.
The press release states that WS Development plans to announce more businesses and general project updates in 2024.
“27 Boylston will consist of nearly 25 new retailers and restaurants, health and wellness concepts, office space, and new community gathering spaces,” the press release says.
