Men’s basketball forward Mike Sagay has received a release from Boston College and will transfer. Sagay confirmed the news on Twitter.
Sagay, a sophomore, played in 15 games last season. He averaged two points per game and just under one rebound per game in overall play, while putting up an average of 1.5 points and one rebound per game in conference play. Twice last season he scored six points, including once against Louisville, serving as his career high. His career high in rebounding was five, achieved against Georgia Tech.
Sagay did not announce where he intends to transfer after leaving BC. He is the second member of last year’s team to depart before the start of this season, following A.J. Turner, who transferred to Northwestern.
