The Boston College football team is not planning on using the special red bandanna uniforms worn against USC again this season, BC Athletics confirmed today.
Head coach Steve Addazio mentioned on a radio appearance this week that the red bandanna would be incorporated for the rest of the year to honor Welles Crowther, sparking speculation that the accessories could appear again. But BC Athletics informed The Heights today that Addazio will likely keep a red bandanna in his pocket—like he did against the Trojans—for the rest of season to honor the former BC lacrosse player, who died saving at least a dozen lives on 9/11.
