DeVoy’s role as associate dean of undergraduate students in Lynch is to interface with the student population, which includes working with the Honors Cohort and the Lynch Senate, and advising students during the registration process and while planning to study abroad.
“A lot of people think that a victim of human trafficking is just someone that is tied to a basement, but there are a lot more social and economic factors involved in the process,” Luke Murphy, an organizer of one of the panels, said.
“People have a good heart and want to contribute back to society,” Richards said. “They might not identify with institutional church, but they still believe in humanity.”
