It may still be hockey time at Boston College, but football season isn’t far off. With the bubble over Alumni Stadium finally gone, the Eagles turn their attention to the 20th annual Jay McGillis Spring Game, which will be played this Saturday at 1 p.m.
At Pro Day, Kuechly Is Strong Again
Yesterday, Alumni Stadium played host to a local area Pro Day with scouts from 27 NFL teams. The main attraction was former Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly. Kuechly, who finished his career as the program’s leader in tackles, spent the week at BC after training in Florida for the past three months.

Al Skinner, head coach of the men’s basketball team, has been fired by Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo, according to sources in the Boston College athletics department. The firing will be made official at noon today in a press conference.
