Fordham professor Tyesha Maddox highlighted the lasting influence of Caribbean immigrants on Black American culture, leadership, and institutions. In a lecture at Boston College, she discussed their resilience, mutual aid networks, and contributions to U.S. society.
University President Rev. William P. Leahy, S.J., spoke on a panel titled “Revitalizing Our Church: Ideas from University Presidents.” The event addressed how the Church can find a path to restored credibility.
“As a matter of policy, we do not rescind honorary degrees, which are given to individuals based on their accomplishments at the time of the award,” Dunn told The Boston Globe.
