“My greatest hope for UGBC, and I guess for the institution as a whole, because I don’t think a lot of UGBC’s problems originate with the organization itself, is that we can increase the opportunities for shared governance at BC. I think that would be a huge step forward.”
Members of the Jesuit Student Government Alliance ratified a new constitution and discussed overlapping problems their universities face at a Winter Summit.
“The job of leading UGBC is a massive privilege,” Piercey siad. “It will be our honor to use that privilege in whatever ways we can to push our community forward.”
“We’ve been working pretty extensively with the administration from prior to the resolution, I would say,” said Clair Chatellier, the current chair of CSD and MCAS ’19.
The Elections Committee is hosting a debate on diversity and inclusion on Tuesday evening, as well as a final debate on Feb. 11.
The campaign kickoff will occur today at 3 p.m.
