Boston College is launching the first Student Experience Survey next week, the University announced Thursday morning in a release. Survey data will be available this spring, with more “segmented analysis and extensive reporting” available in fall 2019.
School of Social Work To Help Research Under Schiller
“The Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society provides the School of Social Work that ideal platform to reach across disciplines to define, understand, design, and test interventions,” the dean of the Boston College School of Social Work said in an email.
Economics Major Reclassified as STEM
The economics major was reclassified as a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program from a social science this summer. The major was discontinued and replaced by Econometrics and Quantitative Economics (EQE) which will serve as its new name.
Psychology Department Launches Neuroscience Major
The Boston College psychology department announced a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience, the first degrees for which will be awarded to the Class of 2020 and may be declared as early as Sept. 1, 2019 by the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022.
