change in Boston College Early Admissions policy led to a significant increase in the number of applicants for the class of 2023. The Office of Undergraduate Admission received 15,862 Early Action applications, a surge of 50 percent from last year’s applicant pool.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission will spend the month of April ensuring that it enrolls the highest quality Class of 2022 and attains its goal yield.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission is looking for an incoming freshman class of about 2,290 students and hopes to see a yield of 750 to 800 students enrolled from the Early Action program.
As prospective students begin to hear back from schools, the Office of Undergraduate Admission accepted about 33 percent of 9,000 early action applications.
