The Boston College Latin American Studies program, BC Organization of Latin American Affairs, and BC Law School’s Latin American Law Students Association welcomed Flávia Piovesan to campus on Tuesday to share the Inter-American System’s work to protect LGBTI rights.
The Dominican Association of Boston College brought together 10 culture clubs and dance groups for the ‘Dance on my Block’ show on Friday.
“LFW intends to foster rapport, facilitate discernment, and promote cultural pride among Latino staff, faculty, and staff at BC, as well as members of the BC community with an interest in Latin America,” said Jorge Mejia, MCAS ’19.
“The opposition has no access to media. No access at all. No access on TV channels, no access to radio. We only have access to Twitter and Facebook.”

The theme of this year’s Acronym Week is immigration. The Ahana Leadership Council will allow students of immigrant background to speak about their experiences.
