Massachusetts voters will take to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to repeal the transgender anti-discrimination law put in place in 2016, which added gender identity to the list of prohibited grounds for discrimination in public accommodations.

Question 2 on the 2018 Massachusetts ballot asks voters to decide if corporations have the same constitutional right to free speech as individuals.

The Newton City Council voted on Sept. 7 to allow a question on the November ballot that would allow voters to “opt-out” of having recreational marijuana establishments in Newton. The vote to put the question on the ballot was proposed after a group of Newton residents organized to protest the addition of recreational marijuana establishments to the community.
