Boston College leaders addressed political and academia challenges at the 2025 University Convocation as they announced a five percent operating budget cut, a hiring slow, and major campus renovations.

The Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts, of which BC is a member, sent the Sept. 16 letter to the state’s congressional delegation.
