The Heights reaches readers where they’re at. Our advertising team will work with you to build a cross-platform advertising package that best fits your needs. We also offer in-house design for all your advertising needs.
Our website displays our award-winning stories, e-edition, and opinion content free for all readers. And, we reach a lot of them:
Ads are kept on the website until they reach an impressions-based benchmark. But, that shouldn’t take too long. We offer:
Many readers engage with The Heights through our stunning, clickable newsletters. The newsletters incudes top stories and interactive content such This Week in History and This Weekend in Sports segments. They are published three times per week during the academic year.
Each newsletter averages more than 7,800 opens. And, we publish a lot of them. In 2023, between the January 1 and May 1, 37 newsletters attracted nearly 300,000 opens. Engagement even goes farther than that, though.
Newsletters average more than 800 clicks per edition. Our audience — BC professors, students, parents, and alumni — often read beyond the headlines, digging deeper into stories on our website.
For many, newsletters are the new newspaper. By sponsoring a Heights newsletter, you share your product or service to readers right when they start their day.
You receive a banner a banner above The Heights’ logo. You also get a your company name in the subject line, for example: “Your Monday Update (Sponsored by Company Name).” You can also pick the date of the ad if you want to coordinate with a product launch or event.
The Heights’ social media accounts beats to rhythm of news, sports, arts and dialogue at Boston College. The accounts are for more than just posting stories. They host polls and interactive content that’s meant to capture campus discussion and reflect the University’s ever-changing culture.
And, the content has reach. Across Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Instagram, The Heights reaches an average of 33,000 accounts per week. Here’s how that breaks down:

Our advertising team will help you create explosive copy. And, our creative team can help you design content that draws in the eyes of our followers.
