Mac Salads: We’ve previously called out BC Dining for the price of Mac’s salads: Sweetgreen prices for dining hall flavor. But credit where credit is due. Mac has recently revamped its salad bar, and while the prices remain astronomical, the new menu parallels Sweetgreen’s so closely it borders on copyright infringement. From the expanded protein options to the upgraded dressings, they’ve put both the Rat and Lower to shame. Mac has earned a thumbs-up from us.

Easter Break: It sure pays to attend a Jesuit institution. Why have one spring break when the Church says we can get two? Amid midterms, quizzes, and final projects, a Thursday through Monday break feels truly God-sent. Whether you’re Christian or not, we hope you have a restorative couple of days filled with way too much Red 40. Enjoy those Peeps!

Thumbs Down

Housing: Whether you’re battling off-campus leases or surviving the Mods lottery, Boston College housing remains… an experience. This year, though, it feels especially chaotic. Rising sophomores are scrambling, groups are breaking apart, and the process somehow manages to be both high-stakes and wildly unpredictable. It always “works out,” technically. But that doesn’t make it any less stressful while you’re in it. BC, we can do better than treating housing like the Hunger Games.

Temperamental Weather: Lately, opening the weather app feels more unpredictable than opening your situationship’s texts. One day it’s sunny and 65 degrees, the next it drops back to the 40s with a lovely mix of snow and rain that feels less like weather and more like an unflavored slushy. It’s April, and at this rate, we’ll be cheering on runners at Mile 21 in our warmest puffers. Boston weather, please get a grip.
