Boston College’s jazz band performs live this week at the Cabaret Room in Vanderslice Hall. This is the first performance of the semester for the group. Admission to the event is free.

The highly-anticipated adaptation of E. L. James’ bestselling novel comes to theaters this weekend. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson star as the complicated, sex craved couple.

Kerry Cronin on Dating and Relationships

The date doctor of Boston College will be holding her famous talk on collegiate dating and relationships this week in McGuinn 121. The lecture is aptly timed for students looking for advice on how to ask that special someone out for Valentine’s Day.

‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’

 A secret spy organization recruits a seemingly inept boy into its rigorous training program just before a global crisis unfolds. Colin Firth and Michael Caine are featured.

Let’s Talk About the 4 Letter Words

(Saturday, 7:30 P.M.)

FACES holds this discussion on the difficulties of interracial dating. The student panel and consequent dialogue with attendees will be held in Stokes South 195.

Love Is…

(Saturday, 4 p.m.)

The Chinese Student Association and Korean Student Association are holding their culture show this weekend in Robsham. Tickets to the showcase are $10 at the box office.

(Thursday, 6:30 p.m.)

Join the Sharps, BEATS, Heightsmen, Bostonians, and Dynamics this week in Robsham for love ballads, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Tickets to this rare a cappella collaboration are $10. The BU Treblemakers will also be featured in the show.

Sexual Chocolate Big Show

(Friday, 7 p.m.)

Boston College’s famous dance group, Sexual Chocolate, makes Robsham its stomping ground this weekend. Synergy hip hop dance company and the Dance Organization of Boston College will be featured as guest performances.
