“Science is a creative endeavor—people miss that,” said Kensinger. “You are discovering things that nobody knows yet. It's a tremendous opportunity for individuality.”

“Pitching on Shark Tank, a lot of people said that it was going to be the hardest pitch ever,” Myers said. “It was the easiest because I’ve spent so much time on the road pitching, trying to get capital for my company, and so it was just a joy.” 

“When you have women leading these institutions, it gives them the hope that someday, if they stay on this path, if they want to continue to work in libraries, museums, archives, that they too could run one of these large agencies or institutions,” Shogan said.

“The girls learn a great deal, and they learn about community building and about supporting each other and respect and communication and critical thinking,” Feldman said. “We don't tell them what to think, we tell them how to think. And that is the most important thing in education.”

“I decided I want to help people,” Felibert said. “I want to make a difference. It sounds cheesy, but make a difference, not really in the world, but in somebody’s life.
